I personally believe his view is not only for Tamils but for every Hindus. Your mother tongue is life, but Sanskrit is the soul. This is for every Hindus in every nation.

Kaviyarasar Kannadasan mengenai bahasa Sanskrit.


“Bahasa Tamil ialah nyawa (kehidupan), Sanskrit ialah jiwa (atma) kita"


Seseorang tidak akan dapat memanfaatkan bahasa ibunda sendiri dengan membenci bahasa lain. Bukan itu sahaja, dia mengkhianati dirinya sendiri.


Dia yang membenci bahasa lain, kerana kebencian itu, berhenti belajar bahasa lain, akan kehilangan idea-idea (harta) yang indah.


Sanskrit  ialah harta karun idea yang mendalam.

Begitu banyak keajaiban yang terdapat dalam bahasa itu yang tidak diketahui "masa kemunculannya" seperti bahasa Tamil!


Oleh kerana minat saya untuk mempelajari bahasa Sanskrit, saya  telah menulis ulasan mengenai Bhagavad Gita dalam puisi dan prosa (ucapan).


31 lagu daripada Bhaja Govinda, telah aku jadikan puisi nyanyian seperti Viveka Chintamani.


Tujuan (menulis)  'purana diri' (hasil kerja saya) ini ialah untuk memberitahu keseronokan mempelajari pelbagai bahasa!


Pelajar Tamil mempunyai latihan Bahasa Inggeris. Sekiranya mereka mempunyai latihan bahasa Sanskrit, mereka dapat mengagumkan orang lain! Boleh berdiri megah dalam dewan (jemaah terpelajar)!


Saya telah membuang banyak masa saya dengan mendengar pelbagai orang  bodoh yang  mengatakan 'Bahasa Sanskrit ialah bahasa mati'.


Pemuda masa kini harus segera belajar bahasa Sanskrit.


Sanskrit  akan menyelamatkan  anda lebih banyak daripada Inggeris!


Teriakan atas nama Tamil ialah propaganda politik.

Bahasa Tamil ialah nyawa  (kehidupan kita); Serta bahasa Sanskrit ialah jiwa kita!

சம்ஸ்கிருதம் பற்றி கவியரசர் கண்ணதாசன்... 


"தமிழ் உயிர் என்றால் வடமொழி நம் ஆன்மா"


எந்த மொழியையும் வெறுப்பதன் மூலம் ஒருவன் தன் தாய்மொழிக்கு நன்மை செய்துவிட முடியாது. அது மட்டும் அல்ல; அவன் தனக்கே துரோகம் செய்து கொள்கிறான்.


வெறுப்பினால் பிற மொழிகளைப் படிக்காது விட்டுவிடுகிறவன், அற்புதமான கருவூலங்களை இழந்துவிடுகின்றான்.


வடமொழி ஆழ்ந்த கருத்துக்கள் நிறைந்த ஒரு பொக்கிஷம்.

தமிழைப் போலவே "தோன்றிய காலம்" தெரியாத அந்த மொழியில் எவ்வளவு அற்புதங்கள் நிறைந்து இருக்கின்றன!


வட மொழியைப் படிக்கும் ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டதன் காரணமாக, இப்போது "பகவத் கீதை" விளக்கவுரையைக் கவிதையிலும், உரைநடையிலும் எழுதி உள்ளேன்.


பஜ கோவிந்தத்தில் வரும் முப்பத்தோரு பாடல்களையும் விவேக சிந்தாமணியைப் போல் சந்தக் கவிதைகளாக்கி உள்ளேன்.


இந்தச் 'சுயபுராணம்' எதற்கு என்றால், பல மொழி கற்பதில் உள்ள சுகத்தைச் சொல்லவே!


தமிழ் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஆங்கிலப் பயிற்சி இருக்கிறது. அவர்களுக்கு வட மொழிப் பயிற்சியும் இருக்குமானால், மற்றவர்களைத் திகைக்க வைக்கலாம்! சபையில் நிமிர்ந்து நிற்கலாம்!


முட்டாள்தனமாக 'வட மொழி செத்த மொழி' என்று எவனெவனோ சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு, நான் என் காலத்தை வீணாக்கிவிட்டேன்.


இன்றைய இளைஞன் உடனடியாக வடமொழி கற்க வேண்டும்.


ஆங்கிலம் காப்பாற்றாத அளவுக்கு வடமொழி காப்பாற்றும்!


தமிழின் பெயரால் கூப்பாடு போடுவது வெத்து அரசியல்.

தமிழ் நம் உயிர்; அதுபோல் வடமொழி நமது ஆன்மா!
